58m Superyacht — Deck BBQ & Service Unit

The owner of a 58-metre superyacht wanted a dedicated outdoor galley on the sun deck — a proper barbecue and service station that could handle a full al fresco dinner for 12 guests, not a portable grill bolted to a rail.

The challenge was visual as much as functional. The deck furniture and joinery on this vessel were designed by a well-known yacht designer with a very specific aesthetic. Whatever we fabricated had to look like it belonged — same proportions, same finish language.

We worked directly with the designer through the concept phase, building the unit in 3D CAD and iterating the geometry until the proportions were right. The final design integrates the BBQ, a chilled drinks drawer, and a full-width service counter with under-counter storage cabinets behind a single clean fascia.

Fabrication was entirely in AISI 316L marine-grade stainless at our Istanbul workshop. TIG welded throughout, mechanically polished to a brushed finish, then chemically passivated for maximum saltwater corrosion resistance. The Kenyon Atlantic marine LPG grill and Isotherm drawer cooler were fitted before the unit shipped.

The unit was installed in the Mediterranean during a scheduled shipyard visit. No revisions were required — everything aligned first time. Two full Mediterranean seasons have passed since installation without any maintenance issues.
